Bade TV Wala by Avadhoot Khanolkar

This Film explores the life of Jagjeevanram Maru, an analog projectionist for over 40 years, taking us into the world of manual projection at a time when digital projectors are changing the face of cinema as we know it.

Avadhoot Khanolkar is an alumnus of TISS's School for Media and Cultural Studies, to whom, cinema and the city is a topic very close to heart. His film Bharatmata Ki Jai, exploring the story of a 75 year old cinema hall in Mumbai screening only Marathi films, has won awards for Best Script and Best Film and screened at the RAI International Film Festival, Edinburgh, among many others.
