Pritam Das completed his graduation in Physics from Bengal University and then did post-graduation in Sound Recording from the Satyajit Ray Film and T.V. Institute, after which he started working as a location recordist and sound designer. He received the Apsara, Filmfare and International Indian Film Academy Awards for his work in the film Love, Sex aur Dhoka. He was the sound designer for Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai.
