Legacy of a Painter by Nutan Manmohan
The Film tells the largely untold story of Jangarh Singh Shyam - the genius Gond Pradhan artist from central India. Experimenting with different media - from simple ink drawings to ambitious large scale murals on iconic buildings, Jangarh typically used colored dots to his work, creating an astonishing range of unprecedented effects. Since his first appearance at the Pompidou Museum in Paris, his work created a big buzz across global art galleries, till his shocking death in 2001.
